- Which other roleplay groups do you belong to?
- Do you have any indie accounts?
- Who was the first character you ever roleplayed on Tumblr? Give a brief description of this character, an image of the character (if you have one), and the series/fandom he/she comes from.
- When did you first make…
1. None at the moment. Just SMRP. I used to belong to a Hetalia one, but it died after a year or so.
2. No.
3. Tiger’s Eye from Sailor Moon: SuperS
Character: Tiger’s Eye
Nickname: 相沢 大雅 (Taiga Aizawa)
Sign: Leo (July 29)
Likes: Rock ‘n’ roll, booze, fashion, pretty girls, and pretty boys
Dislikes: Rejection

4. October 2011.
5. No.
6. Yes; Japanese. Not entirely fluent.
7. Yes. Long, long ago. It was a bit mistake because we had a major falling out. They were Canada from Hetalia, while I played North Italy.
8. No.
9. I’ve role played as in acting, but other than that, my role playing has been strictly online.
10. Too many.
AOL —> GaiaOnline —> LiveJournal —> Ameba Pico —> Facebook —> Misc. message boards —> Tumblr.
11. Yes, but I do not have Tiger’s Eye’s rockin’ body. =/
12. Probably Professor Souichi Tomoe because I’m not straight, I haven’t been married, and I don’t have any children; in other words, I can’t relate. The problems he has are real problems and I am trying my best to write how a man his age would cope.
13. Tiger’s Eye because I’m a little vain and definitely emotional. He’s one of the few characters I have role played that I actually have feels for. Especially when his feelings aren’t taken seriously, or they’re cast aside and he feels rejected. That’s just rough for anyone.
14. I really liked playing Japan from Hetalia because Japanese history and culture is my favorite. I have studied it for years and hope to make it my life. I think I have played an accurate portrayal of the character, not only based on the character itself, but on Japanese culture today.
15. Probably North Italy from Hetalia because everyone expects him to always be happy-go-lucky when he has had plenty of moments where he has been quite the opposite. I like to play North Italy as someone who struggles to repress his true feelings in order to cope with any pain he has had growing up: he had the pressure of being his grandfather’s (Rome, a successful empire) favorite; lived with daily hostility from his own twin brother, as well as other stronger nations interested in his wealth; and became emotionally dependent on another nation (Germany) who doesn’t always express concern for him. You can only imagine how “happy” a character like this can be, especially if he is pushed. An example of this is shown in the last episode of the anime; I will not give any spoilers. I don’t know if people are open as I would like to them to be to my interpretation, so if anything, I think it’s unfortunate they are happy with a non 3-dimensional character; I won’t be the one to play him then.
16. Plenty of original characters. The only time I ever got negative feedback was in a Hetalia role playing community I was in. The admin, after I had made the character, expressed that she didn’t like original characters that weren’t nations. Of course, this wasn’t a criticism on the character itself, but just them being close-minded. They chose to ignore this character and I was severely disappointed since they were an admin and supposed to make each member feel welcome. The community’s dead and we’re friends now, but I have to say that I will never forget such unfair treatment.
17. 13 years… eww…
18. See above.
19. Yes. A couple of times.
a. Japan falling for Netherlands again and be rejected for it. (Hetalia)
b. Turkey becoming possessed by his old self, the Ottoman Empire. (Hetalia)
c. Hawk’s Eye being hospitalized. (Sailor Moon)
d. Tiger’s Eye’s dream mirror breaking. (Sailor Moon)
e. Jadeite’s second death. (Sailor Moon)
20. I’m open enough to not have too many preconceived thoughts about a character.
21. Porn.
…Sorry, I’m honest.
22. Yes.
23. Yes and it was the worst. It threatened to ruin my relationship with my own sister. The people responsible, however apologized to me just this year, and I have even saved the letter, just so I don’t have to get mad about it.
24. Yes and it sucked. They never abused their power, but they treated me like I didn’t exist. However, in the end, I was able to melt their heart and when their poor decisions made things worse, I was there for them.
25. No, but I don’t like homophobic shit regardless. Maybe I’m sensitive, but who wouldn’t be after being a victim of it? Nonetheless, part of a society that doesn’t fully respect LGBTQ (also known as human) community?
26. No.
27. Why the hell not? I’ve done it before. It’s great, especially when you meet up!
28. I’ve met my role play partners at conventions, but I’ve never specifically coordinated my con-going experience with the person. I like to be independent at cons.
29. Skype, AIM (used to), MSN (used to), GMail, Tinychat, and texting.
30. I think it has enhanced it because it has:
1. Gotten me into the habit of writing.
2. Help me not be so anti-social. Though I feel that regardless of who I meet, no one will know the real me, it is nice to go home and chat with people who actually like having me around.
